Completed in 1984, Suncor Energy Centre has become one of the most striking office tower complexes in Calgary. Encompassing over 2 million square feet of office and retail space, the West Tower is an iconic piece of the Calgary Downtown skyline, rising 706 feet above street level.
Suncor Energy Centre is a certified green building with a Gold level of certification in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance program.
The property is clad in stunning Taivassalo granite imported from Finland, and features broad-flamed Roca Porhino granite plazas, extensive landscaping, and seating areas. The towers are connected by a four-storey Atrium, enriched by the extensive use of landscaping, pools, sculpture and a cast bronze statue commemorating the Olympic Torch Relay. The totem pole located on the main level of the plaza tells the story of all nations coming together to celebrate the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic winter games and highlights the spirits that inhabit the sea to sky region including the frog, the bear, the whale, and the thunderbird. The conference centre facility is available to all tenants at Suncor Energy Centre and is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the Tenant Services Desk. The facility is approximately 2,522 square feet and can accommodate maximum of 56 guests. The dramatic focal point of the Atrium is the famous Canadian bush plane, the Noorduyn Norseman, suspended from the ceiling. The Norseman, part of the Canadian Aero Space Museum display, exemplifies the spirit of the Canadian bush pilot to which the Atrium is dedicated.

Fifth Avenue Place is a 1.5 million square foot office project located in Calgary’s downtown core, comprised of two 35 storey office towers, encompassing 1.43 million square feet of rentable office space, 48,00 square feet of retail space, a full suite of modern and functional tenant amenities and underground parking. Brookfield Place Calgary is a full-block commercial development located between 1st & 2nd Streets and 6th & 7th Avenues SW in downtown Calgary. Brookfield Place Calgary consists of 1.4 million square feet, 56-storeys and 247 meters tall located at the northeast corner of the block. Leading North American oil company Cenovus is committed to one million square feet of the east tower as the anchor tenant.
In addition to the east tower, development plans call for an additional office tower totaling approximately one million square feet, a 60-foot-high transparent glass pavilion, restaurants, retail shops, and amenities at street level, and underground parking accommodating 1,100 parking stalls.
A half-acre lit public plaza will traverse the site and will feature restaurants and cafés, public art displays, cultural activities, and programmed activity provided by Brookfield’s award-winning Arts & Events program.

The architectural expression of Bankers Court compliments the adjacent Bankers Hall Complex. A definitive roofline provides a unique signature for Bankers Court on the Calgary skyline. A two-storey, fully glazed lobby and a double height arcade contribute to an appropriate pedestrian environment along 9th Avenue SW with an at grade public exterior space connecting the existing Bankers Hall complex with Bankers Court. Exterior building finishes include a granite and glass curtain wall, exterior coloured concrete paving surfaces, landscape elements, and a public art installation.
